Arkansas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Scholarship Programs

ArAND will give out two Nourishing the Future Scholarships.

Each scholarship is for $500.

ArAND will award the following scholarships annually as funds are available. The applicants must:

- be a student member of AND by January 1

- must be pursuing education in an ACEND accredited nutrition and dietetics program (any program type)

- must be living in and attending a program housed in Arkansas at the time of the scholarship

- must be at least a junior or above

-must not have received a previous ArAND scholarship

COMPONENTS OF APPLICATION:

  1. Completed application form: please use this form to submit the required materials.

    Education Background: You will need to upload transcripts from each college/university from which you obtained credit for your dietetic courses to this form (also linked above). You will need to combine all transcripts into ONE FILE when submitting. 

    Resume including honors and awards, extracurricular activities, education history, and work experience. The resume should be uploaded to form. 

    Letter of application, typed and addressed to the selection committee. The application letter provides an opportunity for the student to introduce themself and should include:

    1. Why you want to enter the dietetic profession

    2. Background and/or previous experiences that have helped prepare you for a career in dietetics

    3. Your career goals

    4. Outline of financial need and why you are applying for this scholarship

  2. Two references (using this form) from a dietetics/nutrition major advisor AND another faculty or work reference. The recommendation forms should be submitted BY THE RECOMMENDER to memberservices@arkansaseatright.org by MARCH 15, 2025. 

  3. Verification of the acceptance into a dietetic internship program or undergraduate program. Have your major advisor or internship director sign this form. The verification should be returned to you and you should email the signed form to webmaster@arkansaseatright.org

SUMMARY

The applicant will upload transcripts, resume, and letter of application using above criteria to this form.

The applicant will ask two references (a dietetics/nutrition major advisor AND another faculty or work reference) to complete the reference form and send to memberservices@arkansaseatright.org

The applicant will ask major advisor or internship director to sign the verification form and the signed form should be emailed to memberservices@arkansaseatright.org.

Applications are open January 31- March 15.
