Ads will be accepted to be posted on the website and in the e-Communique (current distribution - approx 600)

Advertising

POLICY:
The Arkansas Dietetic Association will accept commercial advertising for its website, some special-purpose publications, and other forms of communication with the purpose of providing product or services information to members and to defray the cost of the website. It will be generally recognized as being for products or services which are beneficial to the health of the public and/or clients, or to dietitians in the performance of professional duties.

GUIDELINES:
1. ArDA reserves the right to review all proposed advertising copy and to refuse to accept any copy that does not conform to ArDA policy or its philosophy. ArDA shall take reasonable steps to ensure that the acceptance and placement of advertising does not undermine ADA’s reputation for scientific and editorial integrity.
2. Statements in advertising copy should be ethical and carry no direct or implied disparagement of another product. There should be no statements that are misleading, exaggerated, open to misinterpretation, or contrary to accepted, proven facts.
3. Advertisements shall comply with the laws and regulations of the United States and the State of Arkansas. All material must be original or used with permission. The ArDA accepts no responsibility for publishing plagiarized material.
4. Acceptance of advertising does not represent an ArDA endorsement of the advertiser, product, or service. 
 
Employment Opportunities

POLICY:
Employment opportunities for members of ArDA will be posted on the ArDA website at www.arkansaseatright.org.

GUIDELINES:
1. ArDA reserves the right to review all proposed employment opportunities and to refuse to accept any copy that does not conform to ArDA policy or its philosophy.
2. Employment opportunities will only be accepted for food and nutrition related positions.
3. Acceptance of employment opportunities does not represent an ArDA endorsement of the organization.
4. These guidelines will be posted on the website.

PROCEDURE:
1. The employment opportunities provided by the ArDA Executive Secretary and posted on the ArDA website will be identical. This will be accomplished by using the website as the primary source of information that can be printed and distributed as requested.
2. Employment opportunities will be listed for approximately 30 days for a fair market value as established by the ArDA Board of Directors.
3. Employment opportunities will be submitted to ArDA via the website or facsimile. The Executive Secretary and Web Administrator will collaborate on billing information.
4. Once posted, employment opportunities will remain on the list for approximately 30 days unless removal is requested, in writing prior to this time, by the person who requested the original post.
5. Job postings may be paid via the web site store with credit card or will be invoiced by the Exec Secretary. Posting will occur once payment is received. For credit card payment, the Exec. Secretary will verify via the internet. If an invoice must be sent, posting will occur once payment is received and deposited.
