Margaret Bogle

Margaret Bogle, PhD, RD, LD is currently the Executive Director of the Lower Mississippi Delta Nutrition Intervention Research Initiative of the USDA Agricultural Research Service. She is also incoming chair for the FNCE Program Planning Committee and a member of the ADA’s Phase 2 Future Practice & Education Task Force. Margaret received her Bachelor’s from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and her Master’s from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She earned her PhD from Texas Woman’s University in Denton. Margaret was the first dietitian licensed by the Arkansas Dietetics Licensing Board in 1990. She previously worked at Arkansas Children’s Hospital as the Director of Nutritional Services and the Director of Clinical Nutrition and Research. Margaret was recognized in 2002 by ADA with the Marjorie Hulsizer Copher Award which is ADA’s highest honor. Margaret has served in many capacities with both the American and several state Dietetic Association and its practice groups. Margaret and her husband Bill will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary this year. They have 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
